Kendra Van Den Assem
Kendra is a practicum student currently completing her Master of Art in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and is a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying status from the CRPO. Kendra’s undergrad consisted of an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Care at Mohawk College bridged to a general bachelors in psychology at Algoma University. She has many years of experience working with children and youth in various settings. She hopes to utilize a holistic approach, understanding the interaction of mind, body and soul on our overall well being through a Christian worldview. Taking on an integrative approach, she plans to incorporate techniques from various approaches, including cognitive behaviour therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy, to co-create a treatment plan with the client that aligns well with the individual. She hopes to work with clients ages 7 and up.
